Mahadevi Birla World Academy was established in 1959 by illustrious industrialist Late B K Birla in the name of his wife, Late Sarala Birla. He firmly believed that a nation could progress only when industrial and educational development complemented each other. For him, this meant assigning adequate importance to women­s education. His compelling vision led to the founding of MBWA. This legacy is continued by Late B K Birla, Late Sarala Birla and Smt Jayashree Mohta, who continue to provide inspiration and support to the school.
