The CFTRI School was established in the year 1964 with a purpose to provide education to the children of the employees of the institute. The school was started in a small way and now it is open for general public and has grown to a new height. The school was founded in the year 1964 to cater the educational requirements of the employees of CFTRI. The parents of the students were also actively involved in the academic work of the school in the begiining. Later in 1970, the management of the school which was hitherto in the hands of the founder member was taken over by the CFTRI Education Society. Since then the CFTRI Education society is striving hard in providing all kinds of support to the school in the academic side as well as infrastructural needs.
