The establishment of the Child Education Society in 1944 is owed to the vision and perspicacity of our elders who thought that whilst progressing and modernizing, Indian culture, heritage, tradition and ethos must be preserved and nurtured. The Late LalaHansraj Gupta, philanthropist and former mayor of Delhi, the late Shri. L N Birla and Shri. K K Birla and Shri. Charat Ram were the founder members of the Society.

Today the affairs of the Child Education Society are managed by a Board of Management consisting of eminent educationists and social workers headed by Shri L R Channa, as the President of the Society. Under his dynamic leadership and able guidance, the pace of expansion and development of new schools has greatly quickened going up from just one school in 1984 to as many as fourteen schools and institutes today, with eight more to come up in the near future.
